LEOTEK, a lighting and traffic IoT operation service provider based in San Jose, has acquired the traffic business of Dialight, a LED industrial lighting manufacturer, for $5.8 million. This strategic move aims to position LEOTEK as a top provider of AI-enhanced, low-carbon traffic signal solutions in the Americas. Dialight, recognizing the business as non-core will utilize the net proceeds of $5.5 million traffic signal assets sale to reduce its indebtedness. The transaction includes provisions for Dialight to manufacture products under license for Leotek for up to 15 months to ensure a smooth transition, allowing Dialight to focus on its core heavy industrial LED lighting operations.
