BluEarth Renewables has partnered with SenseNet, a Vancouver based startup that specializes in wildfire detection technology, to deploy an advanced wildfire detection system at the Tyson Creek Hydro Facility. This installation covers 20 kilometers of remote and rugged terrain, utilizing 60 sensors and two cameras equipped with satellite connectivity. The system’s AI-driven technology analyzes real-time data for precise, early-fire alerts, aiming to detect fires even in their smoldering stages before smoke or flames are visible.
BluEarth currently has more than 1 GW in operation, under construction and contracted pre-construction and this collaboration aligns with its efforts to safeguard its renewable energy assets and surrounding environments, enhancing safety and operational efficiency through proactive fire detection.
