Runwise, a provider of smart building operating systems, has secured $55 million in a Series B funding round led by Menlo Ventures. New investors, including MassMutual Ventures, Nuveen Real Estate, Multiplier Capital, and Munich Re Ventures, participated alongside returning backers such as Soma Capital and Fifth Wall. The funding will support product development, team growth, and market expansion, bringing the company’s total funding to $79 million.

The round was reportedly oversubscribed, reflecting strong investor confidence in Runwise’s technology, which aims to enhance building efficiency and reduce costs. The company’s platform, which integrates hardware and cloud-based software, is currently used in over 10,000 buildings across the U.S., serving major real estate operators. To date, Runwise claims that clients have collectively saved more than $100 million in energy expenses.
