TotalEnergies Power & Gas Belgium has partnered with Swiss AI startup Exnaton to launch dynamic electricity tariffs in Belgium, a first for the country. The AI-driven platform processes smart meter data and real-time price signals, automatically shifting consumption to cheaper periods.

Unlike traditional pricing, dynamic tariffs require processing around 35,000 data points per customer annually, posing challenges for conventional billing systems. The solution also provides clear consumption and pricing data to help customers make informed energy decisions.

The system can integrate with smart devices like EV chargers and home energy management systems, optimizing costs by adjusting usage during low-price periods. This move aligns with growing demand for flexible, customer-centric energy solutions.
