Spanish technology group Amper has secured a contract worth approximately €9 million (37.07 million soles) from Peru’s Ministry of the Interior to implement an AI-based surveillance platform for the National Police. The project involves deploying a private-cloud smart video monitoring system integrating around 3,000 cameras across 70 municipalities.
The initiative aims to enhance crime prevention capabilities and strengthen police logistics and intervention, particularly in high-risk areas.
This marks Amper’s first AI-driven public security contract in Peru and aligns with its 2023–2026 strategic plan for growth in the Defense, Security, and Communications sector.
