Veolia Acquires Icetec to Strengthen North American Digital Energy Services

Veolia has acquired Icetec, a Pennsylvania-based digital energy management firm, to expand its capabilities in distributed energy and enhance its Hubgrade digital platform. The acquisition supports Veolia’s GreenUp strategy, aimed at doubling its North American revenue by 2030 through decarbonization, resource regeneration, and pollution reduction.

Icetec, known for its software and services in virtual power purchase agreements, microgrids, and energy asset optimization, brings over two decades of experience and a strong client base in higher education, healthcare, and industry.

The Icetec team will join Veolia’s Sustainable Industries and Buildings business, integrating its technology and expertise to improve energy efficiency and grid resilience across the region.
