GE Vernova has announced its acquisition of French AI software firm Alteia SAS, aiming to enhance its GridOS Visual Intelligence platform.

Alteia, known for its computer vision and machine learning technology, provides visual data analytics that support utilities in damage assessment, vegetation management, and infrastructure inspections.

The integration should strengthen GridOS by combining visual insights with operational data from systems such as Advanced Distribution Management Software. This move is expected to improve grid monitoring capabilities, accelerate post-disaster assessments, and increase overall grid resilience.
