Australian IoT provider NNNCo, a company under nxzen, has acquired the electricity-network monitoring solution PowerPilot from ElectroNet Group. The acquisition will add PowerPilot’s AI-enabled LoRaWAN monitoring capability to NNNCo’s smart energy and utilities portfolio, enabling enhanced real-time visibility across both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electricity networks.
PowerPilot, originally developed for the New Zealand distributor Westpower and now in use across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, detects conductor-down events and provides device-level data from transformers and customer connections.
NNNCo will incorporate PowerPilot into its N-Tick Network Approved Programme, which validates devices for use on its enterprise-grade LoRaWAN network operating across 19 countries on three continents.
While no investment cost for the acquisition has been disclosed, the move comes amid growing global grid-modernisation efforts — driven by the need to support electric vehicles, distributed energy resources and resilience against climate-related outages
