Nama Water Services (NWS) is installing more than 400,000 smart meters across Oman this year. The company has already installed over 320,000 smart meters in Muscat and 70,000 in South Batinah. NWS has launched the second phase of its digital transformation project in North Batinah, aiming to install more than 115,000 smart meters in several regions within the next three months. This follows the successful completion of Phase 1, where over 80,000 meters were installed.
The new smart meters provide continuous, hourly consumption readings and support both prepaid and postpaid billing options. Key features include:
