ChapsVision, a French AI-based data processing expert, has acquired Sinequa, an enterprise search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) specialist, in a strategic move backed by $90 million (€85 million) in funding. The investment was led by Tikehau Capital, Qualium Investissement, Bpifrance, GENEO Capital, and Jolt Capital.

ChapsVision’s AI-powered platform enables businesses and public authorities to harness diverse datasets, unlocking actionable insights for digital transformation. The acquisition of Sinequa enhances its ArgonOS platform with advanced search capabilities, supporting industries such as manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, and aerospace.

Sinequa, trusted by clients like Pfizer, Airbus, and NASA, leverages AI and natural language processing to make data more accessible and actionable. This deal accelerates ChapsVision’s international growth in Europe and North America, with funding directed toward R&D and product innovation.

Earlier this year, ChapsVision was selected by France’s Ministry of the Interior to provide smart video surveillance for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The initiative aims to detect predefined situations, such as abandoned objects or crowd movements, without employing facial recognition, marking a significant advancement in security and surveillance for major public events in France.
