Xylem announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Idrica, a Spanish company specializing in water data management and analytics. Xylem and Idrica first partnered in January 2023 to integrate Xylem Vue, Xylem’s digital solutions platform, with Idrica’s GoAigua technology. This collaboration led to “Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua,” a platform offering utilities streamlined operations and optimized asset management. Following the success of this partnership, Xylem decided to increase its stake in Idrica to further enhance its digital solutions portfolio. Idrica’s GoAigua platform complements Xylem’s extensive offerings, providing utilities with advanced data management and analytics tools. While the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, this aligns with Xylem’s history of strategic investments, such as its $7.5 billion acquisition of Evoqua in 2023.

This acquisition underscores the growing importance of digitalization in water management. The integration of Idrica’s technology is expected to set new standards for intelligent water systems, offering scalable solutions to meet diverse utility needs globally.
