The City of Corona, California, has signed a $4 million contract with Iteris, a traffic technology firm, to upgrade its mobility infrastructure. The project will focus on optimizing 100 key intersections using real-time data and advanced sensors to improve traffic flow and safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Iteris will deploy its ClearGuide SaaS platform to monitor traffic conditions, analyze travel patterns, and support infrastructure planning. The system will integrate Vantage Apex sensors, which use video and radar to track vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian movements. Data will be processed through VantageLive!, a web-based tool for real-time traffic analysis.

Crosstown Electrical & Data will assist in implementing the technology. The upgrades aim to reduce congestion, lower emissions, enhance emergency response times, and support long-term transportation efficiency.
