The Municipality of San Giovanni in Fiore has secured €314,000 in regional funding to upgrade its public lighting system with energy-efficient and smart-city technology. The project, financed by the Calabria Regional Department of Economic Development, aims to improve safety and urban livability by installing new lighting in previously unlit areas.

Key locations include the municipal park, mountain hamlets, and residential neighborhoods such as Lorica, Rovale, and Germano. The initiative will complement ongoing park renovations, including an outdoor gym and recreational spaces, to enhance evening accessibility and environmental sustainability.

The upgrades are part of broader efforts to modernize infrastructure and promote sustainable development in the area.
