Phyn, a provider of intelligent water management systems, has been acquired by an investment group led by entrepreneur and TV personality Jonathan Scott for an undisclosed amount. The deal transitions Phyn from Belkin’s ownership to an independent company supported by investors with expertise in technology, real estate, and entertainment.

The acquisition aims to expand Phyn’s market presence in sectors such as insurance, property management, and utilities. The investor group includes notable figures such as Tom Proulx, co-founder of Intuit; David Marquardt, a veteran venture capitalist; and Allen Sands, founder of ICON Builders, who will help scale Phyn’s adoption in the construction and multi-family housing sectors.

Phyn’s ultrasonic technology and AI-driven shut-off system claims to provide long-lasting leak detection for entire homes, reducing the risk of water-related issues. Its product lineup includes DIY and professionally installed solutions, backed by advanced sensing technology. The new ownership is expected to accelerate growth in both consumer and business markets.
