The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia in Cyprus is deploying a network of 15 AI-powered fire detection stations to strengthen wildfire monitoring efforts. Developed by Neuranet Solutions the FireWatch AI system claims to detect smoke or fire within a 15-kilometer radius and send alerts within seconds.

The system uses real-time analysis via specialized AI servers, with human operators verifying threats before notifying emergency services. This expansion builds on Cyprus’s initial AI fire detection deployment in 2023 by Greek firm PROBOTEK in Nicosia’s Athalassa Park.
