The upgrade aims to modernize the utility’s grid, including installing an operating system and software to manage data from the IoT-enabled devices.
While the exact funding request remains undisclosed, it falls within the seven-to-eight-figure range. The deadline for submission is April 2. Hydro-Jonquière has previously replaced 98% of outdated meters, totaling 3.9 million units.
The ERITE program, launched in 2021, supports renewable energy and grid modernization initiatives.
