Kurrant has successfully advised Telraam, the Leuven-based mobility data company, on its sale to Quanteo, the parent company of Eco-Counter, a global specialist in pedestrian and bicycle counting solutions.
The transaction, announced on 30 September 2026, will see Quanteo acquire 100% of Rear Window BV, the company operating as Telraam. Telraam’s active founders will remain involved in the business, which will continue to operate from Leuven.
Telraam has developed an innovative approach to multimodal traffic monitoring through affordable, citizen-installed sensors, complementing Eco-Counter’s established infrastructure-based counting solutions and international sales and distribution network spanning more than 55 countries.

For Telraam, finding a partner capable of accelerating its international expansion was a central objective of the transaction.
“To gain faster entry into the international market, including outside Europe, we set out to find a complementary partner. Eco-Counter has a worldwide presence and the experience and corporate structure to accelerate that scale-up,” said Kris Vanherle, co-founder and CEO of Telraam.
From Quanteo’s perspective, the acquisition strengthens the group’s mobility data offering and supports its broader growth strategy.
“Telraam brings a proven methodology for citizen-powered mobility measurement. Integrating this capability within Quanteo, alongside Eco-Counter, strengthens our ability to support public authorities of every scale with the data required to build safer, more active mobility networks. This acquisition is a deliberate and disciplined step in our M&A growth strategy,” said Christophe Milon, CEO of Quanteo.
Kurrant acted as exclusive M&A advisor to Telraam and its shareholders throughout the transaction, from the preparation and positioning of the company and identification of potential strategic partners through the competitive process, negotiations and closing.
“We are delighted to have supported Telraam and its shareholders in finding the right strategic partner for the company’s next phase of growth. This transaction is a great example of the consolidation opportunities we see across the smart city and mobility markets, where Kurrant combines deep sector expertise with an international network of strategic buyers and investors,” said Antoine Kassis, Managing Partner at Kurrant.
