Veolia deploys EverestLabs’ AI robots in Perth

Kurrant News Desk · ·1 min read

Veolia Australia and New Zealand has introduced EverestLabs’ AI-driven robotic sorting technology at its material recovery facility (MRF) in Perth, marking the California-based company’s first international deployment. The installation of EverestLabs’ modular RecycleOS system provides real-time visibility of plant operations and uses vision AI to guide robotic arms in identifying and sorting recyclables directly from conveyor belts.

Designed for rapid installation and 24/7 monitoring, the system aims to boost recovery rates, address labor challenges, and reduce landfill volumes while enhancing safety in recycling operations.
