AMP Robotics has successfully raised $91 million in a Series D funding round led by Congruent Ventures, with significant participation from Sequoia Capital, XN, and other prominent investors. This capital injection should accelerate the expansion of AMP’s pioneering AMP ONE systems, designed to enhance the efficiency of municipal solid waste sorting. This technology has already been deployed in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Furthering its industry impact, AMP recently entered a strategic partnership with Waste Connections to upgrade recycling operations at a Colorado facility. AMP’s advanced AI-driven systems employ deep learning to analyze and categorize waste material by recognizing distinct patterns and characteristics, thus optimizing the sorting process.
By lowering operational costs and increasing material recovery, AMP is aming to deliver economic benefits and sustainability gains in waste and recycling management.
