Dublin-based software company StormHarvester has announced a $10.2 million investment to fuel its growth and international expansion. The funding, provided by YFM Equity Partners and Emerald Technology Ventures, will support the company’s plans to double its workforce over the next three years and expand into new markets, including North America and Australasia.
Founded in 2017, StormHarvester specializes in AI-driven water management software designed to help wastewater utilities prevent flooding and pollution. Its platform uses machine learning and hyperlocal rainfall forecasting to predict and detect anomalies in wastewater networks. Since launching its innovative AI platform in 2019, the company has grown significantly and now serves 75% of wastewater utilities in the UK.
The investment should enable StormHarvester to enhance its product offerings, strengthen its sales and marketing efforts, and solidify its presence in the UK while pursuing global opportunities. StormHarvester’s success has been bolstered by partnerships with major utilities, including its first formal project with Wessex Water in 2019.
