The “Metropolitan Innovation Districts” (QMI) program, led by Paris&Co and the Greater Paris Metropolis, is now accepting applications from businesses until March 17, 2025. The initiative aims to foster collaboration among entrepreneurs, large companies, local officials, public agents, and residents to develop innovative projects addressing key urban challenges.
Focus areas include mobility, climate change adaptation, energy transition, public space improvement, and the circular economy. The program offers a 24-month testing phase for solutions, with participating municipalities such as Meudon and Issy-les-Moulineaux.
In Issy-les-Moulineaux, the selected project, “HydroSeine,” aims to create a model hydrogen-powered smart city district on a 6-hectare site near the Seine, featuring low-energy and energy-positive buildings.
The program seeks innovative solutions to challenges such as urban greening, enhancing local commerce, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and implementing hydrogen-based solutions for logistics and mobility.
Applicants can benefit from 18 months of support, including funding, user feedback, partnership opportunities, and access to international events. Applications must be submitted by March 17. For more information click here
