California has launched an AI-powered chatbot, “Ask CAL FIRE,” to provide wildfire resources and emergency updates in 70 languages. The tool, available on CAL FIRE’s website, offers real-time information on fire prevention, incidents, and safety measures.
The chatbot uses existing CAL FIRE data to answer common questions and directs users to relevant resources. It also helps officials track public inquiries to improve information delivery.
This initiative is part of California’s broader effort to modernize wildfire response, including AI-driven fire detection, an expanded aerial firefighting fleet, and increased forest management projects.
