Amperon, a provider of AI-driven energy forecasting and analytics, has received a strategic investment from Acario, the corporate venture arm of Japan’s Tokyo Gas. The funding will support Amperon’s continued international expansion, particularly across North America and Europe. The company, headquartered in Houston, has grown rapidly since 2024, now serving clients in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and 15 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, and Spain.
Amperon’s technology integrates real-time weather, consumption, and market data to deliver highly accurate forecasts, attracting major industry players such as Ørsted and AES. This latest backing from Acario follows a March 2025 investment from National Grid Partners, reinforcing global investor confidence in Amperon’s role in modernizing energy management.
The move also aligns with Tokyo Gas’s broader strategy to advance decarbonization and diversify services through global partnerships, building on earlier investments such as its 2019 stake in Octopus Energy.
