Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole (PMM) is deploying 120,000 smart water meters by 2026. The Kamstrup flowIQ 2200 meters, featuring acoustic leak detection and real-time monitoring capabilities, aim to preserve water resources and provide precise consumption tracking. In 2024 alone, the initial 30,000 installed meters detected over 120 leaks, saving thousands of liters of water. These devices, designed to last up to 20 years should enable residents to monitor usage via an online interface and receive alerts for anomalies, empowering better water management.
