The city of Zaragoza, that recently announced a smart street lighting project, is set to invest approximately 70 million euros for the period up to 2030, with potential public-private partnerships and European funding to support its smart city ambitious plan.

The plan focuses on five pillars: citizen engagement, user efficiency and cybersecurity, smart city management, social city analysis, and the integration of the metacity. These initiatives aim to improve municipal efficiency, enhance citizens’ quality of life, attract talent, and promote sustainable development.

The plan includes efficient urban resource management using digital twins and IoT, and data platforms for informed decision-making.
