Netmore and Detectronic Launch Large-Scale Wastewater Sensor Program for Yorkshire Water

Netmore Group has partnered with UK-based engineering firm Detectronic to deploy more than 90,000 wastewater monitoring sensors across Yorkshire Water’s sewer network over the next five years.

The program will include 65,000 Pressure Alarm (PAL) sensors and 27,000 LIDoTT alarms, creating one of the world’s most extensive wastewater telemetry networks. The rollout builds on Netmore’s LoRaWAN-based advanced metering infrastructure, already supporting Yorkshire Water’s 1.3 million smart meter exchange project, and will extend coverage to enable additional water management applications. Detectronic’s PAL sensor, its first LoRaWAN-enabled product, will be connected through this network, supporting long-range, battery-operated monitoring.

The company will also manage maintenance and has expanded operations in Yorkshire to support the initiative.
