Spire Global and OroraTech Win NASA Wildfire Monitoring Contract

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory awarded Spire Global a contract to create space-based solutions for wildfire detection and monitoring, partnering with OroraTech, a German firm with expertise in thermal infrared sensing. The partnership focuses on developing a cost-effective orbital system to monitor wildfire-prone regions in the United States. Additionally, Spire and OroraTech are collaborating with the Canadian Space Agency on a similar initiative. Last month OroraTech raised €25 million in Series B funding.
