Grenoble-based BH Technologies, a provider of connected solutions for public lighting and waste collection, has acquired Heyliot, a French company specialized in smart waste management. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Rennes, Heyliot offers a sensor-based SaaS platform for real-time monitoring of container fill levels. Its technology is used by around 45 municipalities and private-sector clients such as Citeo, TotalEnergies, and Sogetrel.
The acquisition supports BH Technologies’ broader growth strategy, backed by Yotta Capital Partners, Sofiouest, and BNP Paribas Développement since 2023. The move strengthens its Environmental division with 14 new experts and aims to accelerate product innovation and international expansion in the smart waste market. Heyliot will become the hub for the group’s smart waste activities, with its former CEO Cyril Pradel appointed Deputy General Manager of BH Technologies and Jeroen Bos taking over as CEO of Heyliot.
This marks BH Technologies’ first external growth operation as it pursues an ambitious low-carbon roadmap and continues to invest in sustainable innovation across its business units.
