Abu Dhabi’s Tadweer Group Launches Smart Bin Trial

Kurrant News Desk · ·1 min read

Tadweer Group is testing smart bins by Tevatron Technologies that use sensors and technology in Abu Dhabi to identify waste types and fill levels, optimizing collection and reducing emissions. The trial, currently at select locations, helps understand community waste habits, aiding in better waste management planning. Residents register and use a barcode/QR code to access the bins. The collected data will inform future waste management strategies, including the need for reverse vending machines and additional recycling bins.
